Nick Schager The Dissolve Ill Manors flip-flops between its various threads so swiftly that no in-depth characterizations emerge; rather, the film offers only the same old indistinguishable hoods and hookers. Rated: 2/5 Nov 25, 2013 Full Review Brad Wheeler Globe and Mail The ambitious Ill Manors lacks a bit in the charisma and entertainment departments, but makes up for it with a grimy intensity. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 21, 2013 Full Review Daily Telegraph (UK) Rated: 4/5 Jun 15, 2012 Full Review PJ Nabarro Patrick Nabarro Ill Manors seems a little too in thrall to its hokum, 'gritty' narrative and the street affectations of its characters. Rated: 2/5 Aug 21, 2019 Full Review Nicholas Bell IONCINEMA.com With pronounced stylization, Drew's cinematic debut is as completely engrossing as it is often off-putting, and heralds an excellent new authorial voice in cinema. Aug 5, 2019 Full Review Joseph Walsh CineVue Drew has certainly proven himself a talented director with bags of potential, who - with his debut film - has managed to paint a gripping, vivid and starkly realistic portrait of inner-city London life. Gareth D Not totally sure about the slam poet narrator, or the very over-the-top characters - but an interesting enough look at inner-city London and the depravity that exists. It's no Top Boy, however. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member The movie is not bad, just all those characters are. John Cooper Clarke performs his poem Pity the Plight on the stage. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Ben Drew is angry. And he has every right to be. The story is gritty and at times difficult to watch. I think it's superb. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Andy C You'll probably love it or hate it. Personally I think it's a masterpiece. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/27/19 Full Review Audience Member Dis film was a work of art, even if da guys weren't smart, dey come across as being tick, but all de time dey giving stick, da baby ting was being silly, all because of a vermin's willy, de only one who came across as good, did de ting that all have should, it shows that nice boys can grow up bad, and dat makes it all a little bit sad. Well done Plan B, it shows you have lots of talent. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Starts off fairly well but quickly descends into a bit of a mess. Too may stories and not enough character development. Starts to feel all a bit Guy Ritchie and then by the end starts to feel like a long episode of 'Casualty' but with some swearing as it becomes more and more poorly constructed.
