Moira MacDonald Seattle Times These two characters would be fascinating in a 20-minute short film; in a loose 102-minute feature that’s pretty much all talk, they — and we — grow weary at times. Rated: 2.5/4 Jun 23, 2023 Full Review Lisa Kennedy New York Times It’s a good thing that Jagannathan and Brown have training in the theater: They imbue Priya and Nic’s densely verbal jousts, dodges and truths with compelling chiaroscuro hues. Jun 22, 2023 Full Review Gary M. Kramer Gay City News A talky and mildly provocative two-hander. Jun 28, 2023 Full Review Rob Thomas Capital Times (Madison, WI) Both Jagannathan and Brown are excellent at this combination therapy session/verbal joust, conveying their characters’ intelligence and affection for each other while also their capacity to conceal and deceive — especially themselves. Rated: 3/4 Jun 22, 2023 Full Review Aaron Neuwirth We Live Entertainment With all the build-up, the possibility of some kind of powder keg going off, whether in a big way or something more subtle, could have given this quiet drama more to think about afterward. As it stands, it’s nice, but it didn’t really show me much else. Rated: 6/10 Jun 21, 2023 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film All this would work just as well on a stage, and Griffiths doesn’t really do much with it to get beyond that, though she handles the actors well and there’s some nice set dressing and lighting. It’s still a gripping watch. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 22, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

J M Doubles as a sleep-aid. Put this on during insomnia and you'll be snoozing in no time! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/19/24 Full Review Ted D Wow. I wasn't expecting it to be this intense, having read the drama / comedy descriptions. Yes, it has some wonderful laughs, but it was as riveting as Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf or Bergman's Persona. Two people in a confined space telling their deepest secrets. Great dialogue, great acting. My wife and I came away shaken and edified and so glad we watched this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/13/23 Full Review Suzanne S "I'll Show You Mine" gets us close up to the characters for more than the fact there are only two of them in the story. As someone who greatly enjoys eavesdropping, I loved getting to be the third person in this house unoccupied for the weekend except for trauma memoirist Priya and her nephew, Nic, a pansexual former model there to be interviewed for a book on his career. Questions asked strip away the layers of discomfort and comfort, and back again, as both interviewer and interviewee reveal more than they arrived to say, and the viewer leaves thinking lots about what it means to be truly honest with oneself, plus the gift it can be to have someone listen to and accept us .I'm such a fan of the film's co-writer Elizabeth Searle for her intimate, eye-, soul- and perspective-opening novels, short stories and essays (plus her stage musical, "Tonya & Nancy: The Rock Opera") that I traveled three hours to the Provincetown Film Festival to view "I'll Show You Mine". I'm delighted that I now only have to switch on a variety of streamers like Prime or Apple TV to see it, and I urge you to do the same. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/31/23 Full Review David B This is a really engaging film that follows an aunt who is a successful writer, and her nephew's (who has had a checkered public persona) weekend conversations about sexual expression for the aunt's upcoming book. The film is very well paced, and is captivating, helped by well timed animation breaks throughout. This is a must see film, thanks to the amazing performances by the two leads, extremely engrossing stories and dialogue by the writers, and put together artfully by the director. I look forward to future screenplays by these writers, such great material. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/15/23 Full Review Stephanie R One great long engaging conversation that spans gender, sexuality and trauma. Funny, touching, sexy, triggering, heartbreaking. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/13/23 Full Review William S Very interesting dialog involving an interview between relatives with all sorts of suprising twists and turns as the backstory of there troubled lives peels away. Recommend watching it more than once. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/05/23 Full Review Read all reviews
