Audience Member It doesn't break any new ground in the already well-worn "grind till' I die" celebrity documentary buzz/vanity trend, but Steve Aoki's entry offers a cool and interesting peek into the EDM world behind the booth. It's just disappointing that it's such a brief and shallow peek; the film really doesn't succeed in making Aoki seem like a better role model or underdog story than any other EDM star currently out there. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Great documentary of Steve Aoki's life and history! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member So I'm Slightly Bias As I Love The Electro-Techno Scene & Am Always Interested On The New Developments. This Has Some Interesting Insights, But Any Focus On The Dark-Side Of Partying Hard (Drink, Drugs, Sex & Regrets) Is Only Briefly Touched Upon, With The Favour Always Shifting Back To A Puff Piece On Aoki & Hot $hiT Hot He Is..It Is Unsurpring He Gets Quite Afew Haters, He Is Very Out There. But Some Of The Family Side, Business Difficulties & Loss Of Friends (Through Death Or Misfortune) Was Interesting & Refreshingly Different To Hear About...If Only There'd Been More Inference On This..Sadly, Not To Be..So Nothing Too Deep & Insightful Here. Oh well. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member This is really a puff piece. I do admire Steve. There were nonetheless times I felt uncomfortable as I wouldn't normally watch an informercial of this length. Good photography cinematography I would have liked the actual music to feature more The daddy issues thing was a bit repetitive. Cool guy, if this had been 45 mins I would recommend it Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Legit doc: creatively shot, edited and story told- if your making a doc and not having it look like this in the current age of tech and filmmaking= then your wrong and boring. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member A decent watch for Steve Aoki fans. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Inkoo Kang MTV Running on empty even at 80 minutes, the film squanders multiple opportunities - to explain what Aoki's work is, to locate his place in the fractured (and infighting) EDM world. Aug 18, 2016 Full Review Nathanael Hood Screen Comment ...a documentary of passion bordering on fanaticism, of drive flirting with self-destruction. Rated: 7/10 Dec 28, 2018 Full Review Matt Donato We Got This Covered The world of Steve Aoki is detailed with enough depth to deliver a full, encapsulating picture, even if documentarian Justin Krook might have been able to push a little farther at times.
