Ian E The best thing about this film was the Renaissance music pieces in the soundtrack, as well the ancient Hungarian, and Spanish music used. At the same time, if you know you're in for a borderline pornographic sexploitation fantasy, the almost overbearing, gratuitous nudity and rather unusual scenarios might titillate you. And yet, although great shots, good ideas and zany humour are present, variety, storytelling and messaging are not; more laughs, surrealism and exaggeration would have made a difference, but as is it's merely a softcore curio with an uncomfortable perspective. A quaint, quiet piece of eroticism seen with a male eye in those innocent days before internet porn, when you could show the cucumber but not the act and before every bit of female body hair had to be shaven off. Why was it made?
