Adam Morgan Chicago Reader Thanks to a taut script and two stunning, nuanced performances, this is a tense, unconventional love story. Dupontel excels in a fearless, physical role, whereas De France demonstrates the power of dramatic restraint. Mar 3, 2016 Full Review Leslie Felperin Guardian The actors are undeniably magnetic, the stunt work is duly impressive, and it all trots along at manageable pace. Karten Big Apple Reviews A warm, humorous, unsentimental look at the relationship between an insurance adjuster and a man who became paralyzed after falling off his horse. Rated: B+ Jul 14, 2018 Full Review Kieron Tyler The Arts Desk This is a poignant, warm film with moments of humour. Rated: 4/5 Apr 19, 2016 Full Review David Parkinson Radio Times Dercourt avoids overt melodramatics to explore the narrative's various bonds of trust, as Marc strives to regain the confidence of his horse and Florence reassesses her loyalties. Audience Member Poignant, mature, nicely paced family movie showing different love relationships - a stunt man with his horse, and the stunt man with his insurance loss assessor. Ruthlessness of the insurance business well exposed. Some beautiful classical piano playing thrown in. (French with English text) Excellent acting all round. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Mixed feelings about this one. Don't think I can quite pass it but it was a very real film and it proves a point. The relationship between the two leads was far too underdeveloped and felt very awkward the entire movie, heck the romance part wasn't even necessary. The performances are good but it isn't my favorite French film I've seen Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Allez, on aime bien les acteurs, mais bon, ça casse pas trois pattes à un canard hein. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
