Andrew Lawrence Guardian While "In Whose Name?", the most compelling of the Ye career autopsies by far, offers a more complete picture of where and how it all went so wrong, it doesn’t leave you feeling any less frustrated with the few new answers it manages to get. Rated: 4/5 Sep 19, 2025 Full Review Nicolas Rapold New York Times Ballesteros, who started the project when he was 18 years old, does his best to portray a reflexive iconoclast without excusing the inexcusable. Sep 19, 2025 Full Review Steven J. Horowitz Variety On its face, the doc maintains its momentum merely based on access yet the film as a whole is as tedious and frustrating as West himself, a figure who is so deeply certain of his opinions yet wildly unmoored. Sep 19, 2025 Full Review Stephen Silver Living Life Fearless It isn’t even that interesting ― in fact, it has just about nothing to say about Ye that we wouldn’t have known already, just from reading the media coverage. Oct 1, 2025 Full Review Christie Cronan Common Sense Media This documentary is an intense exploration of fame and fragility that not only examines Ye's character through a truthful lens but forces viewers to confront contradictions that we all live with. Rated: 3/5 Sep 29, 2025 Full Review Andrew Reichel In Review Online Fascinating and frustrating... It’s undeniably powerful material: more salacious than insightful, but it’s also not like too many other musician documentaries. Sep 24, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Carlos As a Ye fan, this didn’t really push the envelope for ye’s mind. Maybe Nico held back on footage but a lot of the stuff shown or talked about was stuff majority most news outlets or ye fans already knew. Save it to rent it I’d say Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/07/25 Full Review Juandi This was tough to sit through. I wanted to leave the movie theater several times. Kanye’s god complex will always come off cringe. So unfortunate for such a talented individual to spiral into who he is today. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/06/25 Full Review Austin It was abstract, intentional, & it seemed like the directors did what they could to tell a story yet be unbiased. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/01/25 Full Review Adrian Loved it and the journey Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/30/25 Full Review Manny Exceptional work by Nico.
