“In Your Dreams” is built around great swirling mounds of imagistic energy, yet it feels secondhand at its core. Go to Full Review

With its positive message of embracing adversity rather than shying away from it, the movie is perfectly suited for kids who make up the primary audience of this film. Go to Full Review

The new fun characters like Baloney Tony and relatable leads going through real issues makes for the perfect formula that shows that projects full of warmth and heart go a long way – especially in a time like this when we need it most. Go to Full Review

I haven't seen every animated film in 2025, but this one stands out as one of the best. Current predictions have this film not getting nominated at the 98th Academy Awards, but in my estimation it should. Go to Full Review

Kent Nov 11 Lots of heart and laughs. Wonderful story, looks beautiful, great songs. See more Yash B 10h "In Your Dreams" is a sweet and harmless animated movie from Netflix. I think the movie has a good message and is something kids will absolutely eat up. I do feel that there is enough for adults to enjoy it too, but it definitely feels like a movie that may resonate more deeply with younger audiences, with its whimsical nature. Still, there is a scene in here that really felt emotionally resonant, and I enjoyed the journey the movie took me on. I do feel like a lot of the rules of the world it creates are a bit glossed over and could have been explained a bit better, but my imagination filled in any of those gaps. Overall, it is a very light and sweet movie that I think is one of the better animated outings of 2025. See more jay s @DizzyAres 2d This was a cool movie. It was very clever in the way they portrayed dreams. The siblings were spot on, and the parent-related part of the plot likely resonates with a lot of families. See more C P. @C6.P96 3d In Your Dreams was a hit in our house, balancing humor and heartfelt storytelling in a way that feels refreshingly honest. Unlike many family films that gloss over the realities of divorce or separation, this movie dives into the perspective of the child, showing the complexity of emotions with authenticity and warmth. It’s raw yet accessible, offering gentle lessons on navigating change and embracing that life isn’t always perfect—and that’s okay. The humor is perfectly timed, making the story both funny and deeply relatable. A thoughtful, entertaining, and meaningful watch for families. See more Christian M Dec 15 'In Your Dreams' translates the spirit of 'Mr. Sandman' by The Chordettes into an animated feature that dares to tackle divorce within children’s cinema. Directed by Alex Woo and Erik Benson, the film approaches the subject with care and emotional restraint, even engaging with debatable gender stereotypes that invite discussion. The narrative is simple and accessible, though it often stays on the surface of its themes. Its attempt to blend dreams, fears, nightmares, and happiness sometimes lacks clarity and cohesion. Visually, the animation is solid and pleasant, while the music grows repetitive over time. Ultimately, the film’s strength lies in the subject it chooses to address; its weakness lies in how cautiously—and ambiguously—it develops it. See more Cameron H. @camthemovieman Dec 12 I loved this movie! I thought the story was fun, creative, and imaginative, sort of like a kid-friendly version of “Inception.” I loved the humor, the characters, the voice performances, and the pop culture references. There’s a great, heartwarming story about family relationships and the bond between siblings. It’s a very wholesome and wildly entertaining film for the whole family. See more Read all reviews
