The very basic story was presumably written with the limitations of the COVID age in mind, but that doesn’t excuse its lethargy, predictability and dearth of scares. Go to Full Review

A doubly frustrating experience, this is one of those horror movies that never fully explains what's going on, and then the characters totally fail to use their heads and make every possible mistake. Go to Full Review

Mari M Jun 13 Incarnation: A Disappointing Experience I'm giving Incarnation a 1 out of 5. Unfortunately, the movie failed to capture my interest, and I found myself repeatedly falling asleep during the screening. This lack of engagement made it a truly disappointing viewing experience. See more Kym C 09/26/2024 Painful. I tried to hang in there but ....couldn't do it. Low budget ,acting, family and friends? Interested of what that stump is bit 45 min in and restless See more eliana r 07/15/2024 After 18 minutes of watching this movie I am here. Very poor budget. Low quality. Making a man a super duper coward is just the absolute turnoff. Everything about the start of this movie is just awful. See more Tiffany P 07/13/2024 It felt like an awful spoof the entire time. Did Taye not read the script ? Mid way I would have quit the movie lol The couple had absolutely no chemistry. I'm glad I just decided to do chores towards the end. See more Elizabeth P 07/17/2023 It started out good, but got confusing. Didn't like a dog getting killed and a baby rip out of the womb and don't like black magic. Not my type of movie. I would have gave zero stars. See more Chris J 03/09/2022 Incarnation - 2022 (Horror, Thriller) 2 out of 5 stars I was able to review the latest horror/thriller starring Taye Diggs ("House on Haunter Hill," "Chicago"), Jessica Uberuaga ("The Fanatic," "The Take Back"), and Michael Madsen ("The Hateful Eight," "Reservoir Dogs"). A film that warns of the dangers of desire, especially a desire for wealth, an intriguing synopsis that seems to have missed the mark in a few places. First-time feature-length director Isaac Walsh showed the potential of this film; from a directorial standpoint, my only real knock would be the medium it was filmed in. It looked to have been filmed in a digital format, which took away from the overall feel. I would have even suggested running a filter over the film to give it a more grain or aged look. I understand that using actual film costs a lot more, so while I'm not a fan of the choice, I know why it was done. Overall, a lot of credit goes to Walsh and Tyler Clair Smith, who wrote this film. I was impressed at the overall story and the twists throughout. The star of the show was Uberuaga, as she delivered a fantastic performance and was the character you were able to connect with most on-screen. One of her most iconic scenes was preparing breakfast and genuinely enjoying her time on screen. While Madsen specifically felt like he was phoning in his performance, Diggs was pretty consistent with the other films I've seen of his. I loved one scene specifically with Diggs, one of my favorite horror films is "House on Haunted Hill," It felt like he was paying homage to it with his reaction after a specific "scare" happened on screen. The effects for the film were also very well done; from the CGI to the physical effects, they both sold the final product. There wasn't a time that I was taken out of the film because of anything on screen. I would have liked to see more focus on the darker aspects of the film, there was a lot of story building used, but the payoff seemed to go by in a flash. The most important part of the entire experience is the support of independent film. Without indie films, we wouldn't have the fantastic big blockbusters from Jon Favreau, Darren Aronofsky, David Ayers, Marc Webb, Bryan Singer, and so many more. These vehicles give directors who are just starting the ability to stretch their wings and show what they're capable of. Remember, one of the essential parts of any film is not to judge it until you've seen it. I give my thoughts and feelings on movies, but I would never want anyone to listen to my words and not experience them for themself.
