I was very surprised by her acting; it was as if it were her first movie. The plot is thin and trite and it was very hard to get through to the end. Don't be pulled in by the big name. It's just not worth the time. Shave your legs or cut your lawn or something more useful and fulfilling. There is a little bit of a low low budget and even made for TV feeling about it, but also very clever and thought provoking ending. Plus a few absolutely scorching love scenes. The story follows a politician's wife who has an affair with a young artist who soon becomes obsessed with her. Featuring Mira Sorvino and Cary Elwes, the cast isn't too bad and delivers some solid performances. And while the plot is pretty formulaic, it takes some interesting turns and is told in flashback (which gives it a foreboding air of mystery). Also, the film adds some ambiguity by making the wife an unreliable narrator. Despite its lack of originality, Indiscretion is a fairly well-made film that's entertaining and full of intrigue.
