Daniel G Feb 1 Somber cinematography that portrayed the early impact of the pandemic very well - there was a feeling of end of the world. Solid acting, but ultimately the plot was actually quite weak. How could a cult go undetected so long? How did the leader of the cult be so hidden in plain site? Where did all the cops go when one detective goes down a mine shaft by herself? The scene where a cop goes down a mineshaft in a lift alone despite 10-20 colleague's nearby was just annoying. Had all the ingredients of a good thriller: engrossing, suspenseful, gritty and an unexpected climax! The mood, setting and cinematography were excellent. Truly loved it!!! It's watchable, but it's been done many times before and was predictable. Also, having it take place during the Covid pandemic did not really add anything. In fact, it was a nuisance and a reminder of that frustrating time. Finally, trying to link the "end of times" to a relatively stupid flu-like virus, like Covid, is pretty dumb.
