Michael Rechtshaffen Los Angeles Times All that repetition in the absence of more inspired plotting results in a payoff that feels inescapably contrived. Sep 14, 2017 Full Review Jennifer Bisset CNET Intriguing premise? Check. Low budget? Check. Twist in the end? Check. This indie sci-fi mystery from Travis Milloy solidifies its place in the Google Search quest for "best indie sci-fi gems." Mar 21, 2023 Full Review Monisha Ravisetti CNET This compelling thriller nails the "mysterious sci-fi movie" template. Feb 7, 2023 Full Review John Townsend Starburst Wholly original it may not be, but this is a film that proves what can still be done when a good idea is implemented well. Sparky K This film is worth your time. Sci-fi on a shoe string budget, but it doesn't matter. The story is intriguing and it makes you think, even after the film has finished. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/09/24 Full Review Cristian s Tal vez la idea era buena pero la ejecución no tanto. Repetitiva, lenta y aburrida, termine adelantando y cortándole como media hora (y la entendí igual). Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/24 Full Review Benjamin S It sucks, If I could give 0 Stars I would. Basically a big nothing burger trying to portray itself as sophisticated, zero plot, poor writing and dialogue, terrible in every sense of the word. Its movies like this that should never be made in the first place. The director should have spent more time fund raising and forming a cohesive plot rather than attempting to form something out of a zero budget one room location trying to stretch a one sentence catch line into an hour and a half. Cube is one of the few films to pull a zero budget one set idea off in a great way and while this film attempts to do the same it falls far far far far short, in fact its dead on liftoff. Don't waste your time, and don't look for any reason. The only reasons is the director wanted to make a film but had zero talent, budget or ideas, this is the result. Its films like this that make us all just a little bit more collectively dumb. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/23 Full Review Regina P I ended up liking this. So few characters, and yet it worked. I like the kind of ending they used as well. Did he, or didn't he? Love it. Looks like the computer may have outsmarted the poor guy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/03/23 Full Review JP h Good for anyone working in prisons to watch to know that their job is expendable like any other, and if computers could do it they would do a better job than humans. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/06/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie has a few very major flaws. While the mystery of the infinity chamber lasts throughout the movie, the mystery is achieved through cheap cop-outs. Continuous loops, elaborate daydreams, and no plot explanation gives this movie the confusion that it requires to be considered a psychological film. The main character gave off the worst take on 'the American man' I have ever seen on screen. His hatred for technology, longing for simpler times, and unbearable self-pity made this movie hard to sit through. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
