Stacy G Came across this last night and loved it. Cannot believe it has been out since 2017. I love dark Comedy and this hits all the spots! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/04/24 Full Review Scott W Very enjoyable haha . She's a star I remember thinking back then Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Jim P Endearing and creepy. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/24 Full Review Alec B Often savage, and Aubrey Plaza's performance is fearless. I do wish the satire was a bit more focused. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review Audience Member Ingrid has lost her mother and is living a hohum existence via Instagram So she sets out to California to meet her idol Taylor Sloane She feels if she befriends her becoming a part of her online lifestyle she can truly belong and matter But the facade begins to crack showing Ingrid for who she really is, Taylor becomes very uncomfortable finding out her true intentions Still love Aubrey Plaza so much in this black comedy And Elizabeth Olsen rocks too A rough journey of a woman who desperately wants to matter even going so far to meet her idol on Instagram Yet the world of social media is hard depending on how many likes you get from the public It can either determine your worth or not It delivers smart, topical humor underlined by timely social observations You can either gain support or hate whatever the actions or decisions you make Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/28/23 Full Review Kellan How in the heck does this have such high ratings? It's awful! Some of the actors are decent, but others are pretty bad. But the plot is just horrendous, absolutely horrendous. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I've got a believe there's some conspiracy that got this to have a high rating. It wasn't even worth watching on the airplane. Emma Snape Bitch Media Earnest character work by Plaza, Olson, and O'Shea Jackson Jr., stylistically relevant visuals, and emphatic themes surpasses the script's numerous pitfalls. Mar 1, 2021 Full Review Brent McKnight Seattle Times Relevant, timely, and uncomfortably close to home, Ingrid Goes West delivers a quirky, fun, brutally awkward, legitimately unsettling cautionary tale about influencer culture and social media obsession. Rated: B+ Jul 1, 2020 Full Review Robert Daniels 812filmreviews The people examined by the film are as paper thin as the pixels that make the images on their phones, and have as much depth as an evaporated gully. Rated: 2/4 Aug 27, 2018 Full Review Clayton Schuster Vague Visages Unexplored potential aside, there is a deeper issue which casts Ingrid Goes West, for me at least, in a pale rather than neon light. Dec 6, 2023 Full Review Shannon O'Connor The Daily Beast One of Plaza’s greatest talents is her ability to make you see and feel the most vulnerable parts of people—and this is beautifully on display in Ingrid. Feb 28, 2023 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The film might've been a funny cringe comedy if it wasn't so disturbing and true. Unfortunately, Spicer does not adequately investigate his topic, and his titular character is denied personal growth. Rated: 2/4 Mar 17, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
