Leaburn O Nov 10 George C Scott steals the show but generally it’s a very mediocre courtroom drama, lacking the tension and err drama of its more invigorating peers. Watched on Amazon Prime. See more Kathy O Jul 1 If based on acting alone would’ve given it 4. But based on facts I had to give it 1. The school teacher was never arrested. This was a setup by the ACLU for which the teacher “volunteered”. Nothing noble in that. The vile Reverend and his daughter never existed. So this movie is so “loosely” based on facts it’s very deceptive and hides the fact that in 1925 the ACLU used this teacher to attack a small town in Dayton, TN and its religious freedom.
