Slim G It was a great decision to have Peter Capaldi play the role of DaVinci, love this! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/11/23 Full Review Audience Member This was self indulgent and amateurish, tantamount to a 9th grader's video essay. The intrusions of modernity were jarring. This contributes absolutely nothing more (and possibly quite a bit less) than a child's report. There is so little here: a rumination about flight, the nature of water, Leonardo's concept of himself as special. There is no revelation about the man's internal landscape. There is little discussion of his work or achievements. The most striking idea here is how little Leonardo actually accomplished. Those in search of information on Leonardo would do far better to watch a PBS or History Channel biography. Skip this. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Michael O'Sullivan Washington Post Not quite documentary, yet by no means drama, "Inside the Mind of Leonardo" is what might be called poetic biography: maddeningly fragmentary and idiosyncratic, but 100 percent true. Rated: 2/4 Jan 1, 2015 Full Review Jay Weissberg Variety Animating his drawings makes him more child's cartoonist than incomparable draughtsman, and Peter Capaldi's modern-dress impersonation has a gratuitously histrionic intensity. Dec 22, 2014 Full Review Martin Tsai Los Angeles Times Though billed as a 3-D experience, "Leonardo" is flat in more ways than one. Dec 18, 2014 Full Review Joe Bendel Epoch Times Works quite well when it really does go inside-either into da Vinci's chambers or into the pages of his notebooks. Rated: 3/5 Jun 3, 2016 Full Review Austin Trunick Under the Radar The movie is less about telling us what Da Vinci achieved and how, but attempting to figure out why he did what he did. Rated: 6/10 Dec 21, 2014 Full Review Mark R. Leeper Mark Leeper's Reviews captivating and compelling Rated: 7/10 Dec 19, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
