Christian Gallichio Film Threat There's truly little redeeming about Insight, as the film leaves only a faint lingering impression - mainly indifference. Rated: 1/10 Aug 11, 2021 Full Review Tara McNamara Common Sense Media Weak story in violent action flick; drinking, language. Rated: 1/5 Mar 26, 2021 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com It's a showcase for Zheng, and not an especially memorable one, so let's hope for future endeavors, he decides to go bonkers with his work as a hero, which would immediately make him more interesting. Zach R This film was hard to watch. The good action couldn’t stop me from seeing the terrible acting. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review Audience Member Terrible acting and choreography. Not a unique plot as well. It wasn't the worst though. If the fight scenes were better and acting as well, I would have rated this as decent. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member Overall great action! Story is a little lacking, but the action makes up for it. I mean who really watches action movies for the stories??? I just want to see some ass kicking! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Poor plot, OK acting, disappointing movie. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/21/21 Full Review harris r Newb filmmakers and siblings Ken and Livi Zheng produced, directed, wrote and choreographed this film, with Ken also starring - which was his biggest mistake. Ken should've taken some acting classes for starters, because he was horrible as an actor, let alone the lead. Expressionless, emotionless and monotonic. The action fights were bland, too long, ridiculous, with only a few "oh, cool move" moments. The story tried to be unique, by mixing The Mentalist meets Jackie Chan. It's not original, but it could've been much better had the Zhengs at least consulted an experienced filmmaker for some writing edits. There were many plot and technical issues. The directing was adequate for newb filmmaking with some decent shots and cinematography. The casting was bland and poorly performed - I'm sure in part the failure by the Zhengs to direct their cast properly. Only seasoned actor Keith David delivered anything convincing, because I'm sure he doesn't need casting direction. The score was decent for the most part, with some loud, overbearing and annoying moments. The fairly decently paced 80 min runtime did feel longer with the constant, long and for the most part unnecessary fight scenes, and don't get me started how ridiculous they were. Overall, it's at best a "high school drama class production" feel to a B-grade action flick. If you decide to watch it, just fast-forwards all the fight scenes, they drag out and are boring. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member John Savage and Keith David is great!! I really enjoyed this film! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews
