Joan O This movie convinced me to ride across the US using the TransAmerica route. The way they followed the leaders keeps you in suspense as to who would finish let alone finish first. This is the most difficult cycling race in the US not only because of distance and climb but having to deal with traffic on the rurals roads across America and having to fend for yourself to keep yourself hydrated, fed and safe. No one is following you in a luxury RV like RAAM, you are all on your own. The film shows the hardships but also the kindness of the people of America the riders encounter.
