Audience Member Well made movie but based on a flawed, biased premise. This could have been a wonderful documentary about how disabled people can live fulfilling lives despite having intellectual impairments, but instead, they choose to frame the discussion by cherry-picking anecdotes and misrepresenting the practice of intelligence testing. Insert dramatic, moving statement about how someone's independence is more than their IQ, and then cut to an individual who needs the support of a job coach because they cannot count to 11. Intellectual testing is an invaluable tool in psychological assessment, and the actual scientific research on that subject is unambiguous in its support for the practice. Of course there is precisely zero actual research presented on the topic and not a single psychologist or other mental health professional is interviewed for this documentary, and it really does make you wonder why they would not include one single voice from those who administer and interpret these supposed instruments of unjust segregation. My theory is that it's because not one single qualified professional could be found, because any psychologist or other MHP worth their license would never claim a single one of the supposed claims being made. Again, this doc could have been great if only it had focused where it mattered. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member It was a really interesting, very touching and really inspirational live-action documentary. It had really well done cinematography, really great narration, really interesting characters, really good humor, really great drama, really excellent music and a really good story. This is going to be one of my favorite documentaries of the year so far. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who has the physical disabilities.
