Miguel Calabria EscribiendoCine Though fun, visually superior, and an excellent score, the film leaves a bitter taste when it comes to character development. Hyper C Actually wasn't bad for such a low budget film, the monsters that sometimes appear have a very tacky look to them but overall a decent design, the main character not talking sort of gives me feelings of like a horror game, the sound effects and sort of mimicry that the creatures make gave me chills. 3.5/6 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/22/24 Full Review Stevie S Don't let the cover fool you. There is no Chtulu monster. There isn't even a single tentacle in the whole movie. The main character runs around a dark rainy city that's been evacuated and there's some kind of war going on. You hear machine gun fire in the backround but you don't see who's shooting and who or what is getting shot. The film provides no explanation as to what is happening or why. There's a humanoid monster that chases the main character and some giant spider creatures that just walk in the backround and do nothing. That's about it. The filmmakers should be sued for false advertisement based on the cover. God what a waste of my time this was. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 07/23/24 Full Review Mark M A boring movie with no real payoff. This movie was so slow that it could have been condensed down to 20 minutes. Almost nothing happened this whole movie, and I felt so disinterested and unattached to the main character the whole time I watched it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/07/24 Full Review Audience Member Saw this on a shelf and with a Cthulhu looking cover I thought it could be a great movie for horror night. But while the effects looked great for a low budget, I think three different plots got mixed together. It doesn't explain why you should feel any care for what you guess is the main character or other main plot hooks. And after an incredibly slow burn, it leaves you with no satisfaction of real answers. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/23/24 Full Review Ako W Found when in search of new sci-fi movies. On the shelf it sat with the most eye catching cover art a lone man watching some behemoth of lovecraftian design, enticing enough for me to spend some cash on it. For such a good design the movie must have some weight right? Watching the director try to emulate a world of disrepair with (what I assume to be less than stellar budget) was rough as it was less than engaging. Many effects held up well, the acting for what little crew there was held up well too. But the slow drag of the film was too much. If simplified (no spoilers) I could probably sum it up in 5 sentences. And the ending left me baffled. Left just waiting for something, to sum it up, the main plot felt like a B plot you'd find on some show. Too scrambled and undefined to be the main plot. It felt like a movie based off an idea not quite fully realized or polished. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/13/24 Full Review Read all reviews
