Clumsily scripted and populated with forgettable characters, Into the Storm has little to offer beyond its admittedly thrilling special effects.

Patrick D After so many films and so many bad storm films, this is still holding up after 10 years I think it's time to binge back all the classics cause you'll never know what's next and that's both film and in reality. I'm just saying, it's like twister on steroids 😅🌪️⛈️ Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/10/24 Full Review Zander B This is underrated. Practice tornado effects are on point and keeps at least on edge. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Kaysen S This movie was so good. The fire tornado was the best part. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/14/23 Full Review Nick Carlson This is the dumbest movie I’ve ever seen, And incredibly unrealistic, • There is no Eye in a Tornado. Director doesn’t know how tornadoes work Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/07/23 Full Review Yash B "Into the Storm" takes something similar to a classic like "Twister" but adds the fount footage element to it. I honestly think this kind of premise has potential. I think the movie has some decent effects and at times is very engaging to watch. I just felt it became pretty repetitive and at a point, I didn't feel like the thrills were effective anymore. Overall, it is a movie I think you can watch casually for some entertainment value here and there, but the whole package is somewhat forgettable, and felt like it could have been more impactful if it wanted to. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 07/23/23 Full Review David W Questionable plot elements distract the viewer while sad monologues attempting to garner an emotional response bore them. The CGI effects are impressive, however. I also found the use of compiled found footage to be a refreshing take on the found footage genre. I can't help but feel the filmmakers would have been better served sticking to that compiled found footage format. Instead, the disjointed quality of the final product is not something I would watch again. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/24/24 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jake Wilson Sydney Morning Herald Most inexplicable, yet potent, are the shots that look down on the devastation from on high, implicitly reducing the entire cast to extras in a movie directed by God. Rated: 2/5 Sep 3, 2014 Full Review Geoffrey Macnab Independent (UK) Unfortunately, long before the storm has blown itself out, the plot has long since come apart. Rated: 2/5 Aug 22, 2014 Full Review Wesley Morris Grantland What we've got here is somewhere between Twister and one of those storm-chaser reality shows, except Jan de Bont made Twister. Aug 21, 2014 Full Review Keith Garlington Keith & the Movies At a brisk 89 minutes “Into the Storm” doesn’t exhaust its welcome. It aims for one rather uninspired target and for the most part it hits it. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 22, 2022 Full Review Dan Brightmore NME (New Musical Express) The use of practical effects, not just CGI and green screen trickery, recalls old school disaster movies from the 70s ... Rated: 3/5 May 26, 2021 Full Review Richard Crouse Richard Crouse When the wind isn't tearing the town apart it's as if Quale doesn't know what to do with the characters or the story.
