While not all that memorable, Invitation to a Murder is fun enough that mystery fans (especially Agatha Christie fans) are bound to have a good time, with its inviting visuals, likable cast, and entertaining set of characters.

Invitation to a Murder definitely pushes the limits of suspension of disbelief, and some of the characters -- mystery archetypes all -- skirt dangerously close into cliches and stereotyping, but it doesn't quite get cross over.

Sometimes, actors make the best of bad material; unfortunately for this film, this isn't the case. A whodunnit with a sleuth who is an instantly dislikable, bossy boots, you almost actively root for her to fail. The plot of the murder mystery is just not very interesting, and you will see the ending coming a mile off. The cast struggles to portray even the one-dimensional characters they are given and deliver their dialogue not unlike William Shatner reading poetry. AVOID

It's a 2023 movie so the killer is obvious. It's not bad but it's not good either. One time viewing and only as background noise while you're doing something infinitely more entertaining.
