Brett J One word from me to describe this film. Iconic Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Kerry W Rating: 7/10. 78/100 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/10/23 Full Review Audience Member I always enjoyed this movie. It’s a delight. I don’t get why the reviews aren’t higher. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review farah r This is a sappy, cheesy rom-com with a silly storyline, but it's got Meg Ryan. If you don't take I.Q. too seriously, you'll be able to enjoy the simplicity of its script and acting. Just lower your expectations. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Julie C For all the hopeless romantics who want something easy to watch that will leave them smiling. This isn't meant to be critically acclaimed cinema…it's quirky fun. Relax and enjoy when Meg Ryan and Tim Robbins we're both absolutely adorable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/30/22 Full Review isla s I thought this was a charming, quirky and very amusing film. I liked the characters and the cast is good too (with Tim Robbins as the science geek/Einstein fan car mechanic, Ed Walters, Meg Ryan as Einsteins niece, Catherine Boyd and Walter Matthau as Einstein himself. Stephen Fry also appears as James Moreland, Catherines partner). Of course its pretty daft but I really enjoyed some of the zany dialogue. One example being (referring to Einstein going on a motorcycle) 'He liked it - he went wa-hoo. when was the last time he went wa-hoo? when was the last time you went wa-hoo?'. I said it was silly! very silly, daft and decidedly improbable but very fun - or I certainly found it very amusing in any case. I suppose you could argue its one of those 'so bad its good' type watches but its certainly not as if it takes itself too seriously. I can think of few criticisms, other than the story is pretty unlikely but then thats part its charm. I really enjoyed it as a bit of silly fun and so I'm going to give it a 5 star rating.
