This documentary from Robert Greenwald argues that corporations have made a fortune from the Iraq War. After purchasing influence in the halls of Congress, private interests such as Halliburton have been awarded lucrative no-bid contracts. Meanwhile, on the ground, these corporations employ questionable practices that endanger the lives of both American soldiers and Iraqis. The film asks the question, when war becomes a business, what incentive is there to end it?

David Edelstein New York Magazine/Vulture In 75 harrowing minutes, Greenwald spells out why the war has been, for this administration and its friends, a windfall no matter which side claims victory and how many Americans and Iraqi civilians die. Nov 6, 2006 Full Review Andrew O'Hehir Salon.com If Greenwald can sneak this onto the air in place of this week's Desperate Housewives, we might start to see some changes around here. S R Low budget and not especially well made, but the content more than made up for it. This is the kind of thing that gets my blood boiling. Out government needs to do better and Congress is failing us in their oversight duties. We should demand better. Even though this is dated, there are certainly the same issues to be dealt with today. I saw this because Ralph Nader recommended it in his book. Saw on Tubi. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/17/24 Full Review Audience Member Why do we have an 18T+ debt in America...this film will show you who ran away with all that dough. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member In 1987 Gordon Gekko declared "that greed, for lack of a better word, is good" I am sure even he would be sickened by the tale of greed, corruption and inhumanity. A must see. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A very good documentary about the no-bid contracts companies like Blackwater have been awarded. The kind of stuff that has been happening for years, what Eisenhower warned us about, but is never fully investigated as I believe there is a third wing to that collusion - media.
