Patricia Bibby Associated Press Despite a few down-to-the-finish-line thrills and spills, there's little mystery as to how this film ends. Still, you'll find yourself cheering and enjoying a delicious case of goosebumps. Rated: 3/4 Aug 4, 2021 Full Review Hollis Chacona Austin Chronicle Rated: 3/5 Oct 6, 2002 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Iron Will is an Identikit plot, put together out of standard pieces. Even the scenery looks generic; there's none of the majesty of Disney's genuinely inspired dog movie, White Fang. Rated: 2/4 Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Molly Haskell Ladies' Home Journal With its clean and dramatic lines, its glistening cinematography and its deep understanding of the bond between animals and people, Iron Will is the kind of film Disney is famous for -- the kind of movie, in short, both kids and parents love. Aug 4, 2021 Full Review Common Sense Media Editors Common Sense Media Coming-of-age tale for older kids and teens. Rated: 5/5 Jan 1, 2011 Full Review Bob Bloom Journal and Courier (Lafayette, IN) A solid, old-fashioned adventure yarn; nothing special but decent entertainment. Ryan A Losers rate this lower. Maybe it’s nostalgia but I love this film. In Minnesota we rarely get coverage. I don’t give a care how “generic” some of these wieners think it is, I love this film. 5 stars Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/18/24 Full Review Ravi T I enjoyed it. Not the best movie ever...but it was dogs and snow so that's all I need. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/28/23 Full Review Nathaniel K Amazing one of my childhood favorites! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/21/23 Full Review Lance B Overall, Iron Will is a satisfactory movie, even if it doesn't try to wow its viewers. The ending is pretty predictable and ultimately leaves me wishing it was more imaginative, but the movie does a good enough job of being entertaining with its easy to root for hero and clear villains. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/16/23 Full Review Steve D Cute enough family fair. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Astin is out to win the $10,000 to save his family's place - but the dog sled race is going to be a tough one. This isn't a masterpiece, but it's a good family film with some old school grit values. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
