Audience Member From 1967 but feels more like 1957. Anthropologist takes the family on an expedition to discover a chain of undiscovered islands that potentially hold a separate line of evolution. Credit this family for turning lemons into lemonade when their boat is lost, stranding them. Genesis Home Video released this family pic to home video with a barebacked island girl on the cover for some reason. Rated 1.5/5 Stars •  Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member I wasn't sure who the target audience of this film was when I found a copy in a second hand store bargain bin. The back of the box hails the film as "an action-packed adventure for the entire family" but the front cover features the back of an attractive topless woman clearly intended to lure in a more adult audience. Once the tape started to roll and I saw early that this film featured a pet seal, I knew this film was more the former. Overall, we get a perilous, but dated, journey for a lost polynesian island with shark sightings, blood-thirsty horned osteriches, tarantulas, a typhoon, and a sunken ship. Right away, bringing the family along for this seemingly dangerous expedition looked like a poor parenting decision by the professor. Does provide some level of camp value. Rated 2/5 Stars •  Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Det här dvd-omslaget var extremt missvisande, jag sÃ¥g den här filmen för 30 Ã¥r sedan, dÃ¥ stod det "den glömda ön" pÃ¥ det svarta esselte omslaget, minns det som extremt spännande och det var ett kärt Ã¥terseende att fÃ¥ uppleva köttätande strutsar,det skojfriska sjölejonet, schäfrarna som föreställer sabeltandade tigrar + en hel del bra hajsecener.
