N M A bit confusing. I followed the events, but initially it did not make any sense. My take on the movie is that the creature arrived looking for friendship but got hostility. It found a host and then started snacking on people. BUT, the end of the movie revealed that all the action was in his imagination. The creature was not actually attacking people which is shown when it was stomped on and killed at then of the movie. I am fairly sure this is what happened - I think!
