Despite some iffy plot elements, The Italian Job succeeds in delivering an entertaining modern take on the original 1969 heist film, thanks to a charismatic cast.

Nell Minow Common Sense Media Exciting heist film for teens and their families. Rated: 3/5 Dec 28, 2010 Full Review Jonathan Rosenbaum Chicago Reader This one offers some agreeably mindless fun in which the villains (including Norton) are truly villainous, the payback is satisfying in a purely infantile way, and the familiarity of everything is oddly comforting. May 6, 2008 Full Review Derek Adams Time Out Itresembles a film made up on the fly. The cast, too, are strictly cut from comic books. Don't expect any unconventional endings either. Feb 9, 2006 Full Review James Croot Stuff.co.nz The support cast isn't much better. Jason Statham just repeats his Transporter role, while the permanently grumpy Norton has made it clear his participation was a result of contractual obligation... Rated: 2.5/5 Oct 7, 2022 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews ...a seriously lazy would-be blockbuster that's nevertheless affable and breezy enough to warrant a mild recommendation. Rated: 2.5/4 Jul 2, 2020 Full Review Michael Dequina TheMovieReport.com It is in Gray's spirited execution that such by-the-book formula makes for a brisk, slick entertainment hits the summer movie spot. Krista S This is the ultimate heist movie. An unstoppable cast, gorgeous scenery and fun special effects (car chases in LA subway.) Fantastic soundtrack. In my top ten favorite movies of all time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/06/24 Full Review Aleksandar D The Italian Job is the ultimate blend of brains, brawn, and boldness. This modern remake takes the essence of the 1969 classic and infuses it with adrenaline-fueled action, witty humour, and a stellar ensemble cast. Mark Wahlberg leads the pack with charisma, while Charlize Theron, Edward Norton, and Jason Statham shine in their roles, each bringing their own flair to this impeccably crafted heist. The film’s iconic Mini Cooper chase scenes are an absolute thrill, combining precision driving with jaw-dropping stunts through the streets of Los Angeles. Add a clever script and a pulse-pounding soundtrack, and you have a heist film that hits every note perfectly. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/28/24 Full Review Nara N Una película donde muestra un plan maestro tiene que tener mas que la "magia del guión" , entretenido, impactante. Mantiene al borde del sillón. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 10/15/24 Full Review Faiz D A heist movie that is highly entertaining. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/29/24 Full Review Bradley G The Italian Job is one film I love no matter what as my one word to describe it is ambitious. The remake does totally show more of the honor among thieves than the original did as it drills and detonates the charismatic thrills. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/27/24 Full Review Jonathan B Compared with The Italian Job in from 1969 it's not good. Not compared to the old one it is a ok movie with some suspense.
