08/13/2012 A ridiculously complicated, well-crafted farce. Hilarious! See more 02/07/2010 Absurd situations where only absurdity can combat the problem make the best farces. Sadly, logic could have intervened in this film's key scenario, but doesn't for any good reason that I can see. I found this film predictable, boring and utterly frustrating to watch. There are some creative bits of impressionistic filmmaking, but it takes half the film to get there. Otherwise, even the cinematography is predictable and boring! It's interesting to see such an old movie but it is only truly interesting if you're watching it for film history purposes and you have a professor there to explain why this film is important, or at least, important to a Film professor.
