Described by helmer Dan Clark as a modern-art-exploitation flick, his feature debut is more exploitation than art and more a midnight flick than a legit entry in a dramatic competition of a strong and prestigious festival like Sundance Go to Full Review

07/13/2022 A campy classic of fun and entertainment. Just a good little movie See more 11/28/2016 Man oh man. I thought I had seen some shit before, but I just I don't know. The film feels like a bad acid dream. I don't know what emotion or theme they where trying to go for, but man. Artistic experiments are just that experiments. Some times you win and sometimes you lose, you lose hard. See more 11/28/2015 I'm only giving this movie a one-star rating because giving it 0 stars is not an option. My friend bought this movie from Blockbuster Video for $1. She wants her dollar back. And I want those 1 hour and 40 minutes of my life back. See more 08/15/2013 Not a great film but a thoroughly entertaining and always surprising one, The Item is a quirky, low-budget horror film in which a bizarre creature controls the thoughts and actions of those around it ways that funny, brutal, and gory. If you are looking for weird, then The Item has everything you might desire. See more 08/20/2011 I watched this movie on a blind date and it was AWFUL as rotten eggs in a egg salad. I guess if I were a drunk I could have enjoyed it. But of all the movies I've seen, including Clash of the Titans 2010 and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li - this movie BEATS them out as the WORST MOVIE OF ALL TIME. A creature that talks you to death. That's all it needs as a description. But honestly, i think EVERYONE should watch it and when they see a decent movie, they respect it and when they see a bad movie, they remember this one and compare it to it. The dialogue = terrible. acting = was that acting? backdrops = huh, black is not a backdrop and tub is um a tub. Now I MUST say, the artist that did the cover art did a WONDERFUL! I love the cover and in my mind, I have my scary thoughts of a 'THING' that creature in a crate form Creepshow. Terrifying to my thoughts. The movie is not good at all, but the case can surely put a few creeps into some kids or girls. Kudos tot he artist. See more 04/20/2011 This will go down as the absolute worst movie that I have ever seen in my life. This is coming from a guy who has seen multiple exploitation films, the Hanna Montana movie (review, not the full thing) and several Japanese horror B movies. Completely bad, and only the insane will enjoy this. See more Read all reviews
