August M Item 47 is an electrifying addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe that packs a punch in just over 12 minutes. This short film expertly blends action, humor, and intrigue, delivering a captivating story that leaves you craving more. With impressive performances from its cast and slick direction, Item 47 effortlessly expands the MCU lore while offering a fresh and exhilarating perspective. Whether you're a die-hard Marvel fan or a casual viewer, this bite-sized adventure is guaranteed to entertain and leave you wanting to dive deeper into this vibrant universe. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/24 Full Review Lou T While the previous Marvel One-Shots focused on fast & quick explorations of the universe, Item 47 takes its time and allows for more storytelling. Following Agent Jasper Sitwell (Maximiliano Hernández), he is tasked with retrieving a Chitauri weapon from some bank robbers. Robbing banks on their journey down the East Coast, Claire Weiss & Bennie Pollock act as a modern Bonnie & Clyde, albeit less organized or professional. While their antics are entertaining in a slapstick manner, the short focuses on comedy and fails to provide much outside of that. The Marvel One-Shots are a wonderful idea, but so far they have been heavily underutilized and fail to expand the universe in any meaningful way. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/24 Full Review Vitoria F A rather boring short film, but with a good ending. I think it would have been nice if the rest of the story had been in the same spirit as the ending. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/23/23 Full Review Jesse C its a pretty good way to start off the weapons from the attack on new york for future events but the plot honestly wasnt good Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/06/23 Full Review Alekay A I love these kinds of Marvel one shot's! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/29/23 Full Review Audience Member My second-favourite Marvel One-Shot behind Agent Carter, Item 47's cinematic production values for a short film, great performances and good premise that feels, at times, like a prototype for the Netflix shows* (mainly the use of Chitauri weaponry as shown in Luke Cage and normal people turning to a life of crime in the aftermath of the Battle of New York) make it a nice little follow-up short film to The Avengers. Shame we never saw these two characters again, not even in cameos on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or maybe What If...? At least I'm reassured it's very likely still canon based off of comments related to the titular MacGuffin in canonical companion book The Wakanda Files. Yes, I'm a fan of the MCU, why do you ask? *I'm saddened to learn they're leaving the streaming service. I'm glad I saw them when I had the chance and I remain hopeful that the characters will return in future projects. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
