Audience Member another beach party/blanket bingo knock-off Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member It's a Bikini World (1967) -- [1.0] -- Tommy Kirk poses as a dork to win the affections of a smart lass. The whole thing takes place on a beach, but no amount of flesh in the world can save this stinker. No one's interesting, nothing matters, and for a beach movie, it's as sexy as a funeral. The movie's worst offense is the music and dancing. Every ten minutes the story (such that it is) grinds to a halt for a random and tediously horrendous song accompanied by that ugly butt-twisting the kids did back then. Bad, bad stuff. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Not to be confused with the "Beaach Party" movies with FRankie and Annette. A typixal good attempt that falls flat on it's face, saved from the 1 styar nark with a great soundtrack with The Animals,The Toys, and a few other great 6o's band. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member There's nothing like a good beach party movie, and this is *nothing* like a good beach party movie. Tommy Kirk not only looks too old here but actually looks physically ill for most of the movie. The creepy dungeon-themed club rock club the kids hang out at was a nice touch. Also appreciated: the climactic multi-event, cross-country relay race included mandatory hitchhiking, which almost made up for how endless that overall montage was.
