A hapless television repairman, Lester March (Jerry Lewis) aspires to be a private investigator like his friend, Pete Flint (Jesse White). When Lester catches wind of an elderly electronics mogul (Mae Questel) who is searching for her nephew, he decides to try his hand at sleuthing. Another Lewis/Tashlin pairing. Oddly in in black & white which really hinders the glitz that makes a Lewis solo excursion more palatable. Some great supporting performances and Lewis obviously held sway as his unique brand of physical humor is very much in the forefront.
