Audience Member William Castle directed this silly bit of exploitation about a midget, Paul Dale, trying to make it in a world of big people. The best part of the film is when he gets caught up with some bad elements who dress him as a child and teach him how to pickpocket for them. But don't worry, he does finally find love when he joins a circus at the end. However, if you want an even stranger midget crime film, watch Tod Browning's "The Unholy Three" (either the silent or talkie version) where a circus ventriloquist, a strongman and a midget form a crime ring operating out of a pet store, but disguised as a baby, an old lady and her nephew. To make that one even better, the ventriloquist keeps the strongman in line by threatening to uncage his gorilla on him. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
