Emmy and Peabody winning directors Gédéon and Jules Naudet ("9/11," "November 13: Attack on Paris," "The Presidents Gatekeepers") examine January 6th from the unique perspective of the heroes, first responders, and survivors of the attack. It's an apolitical story of resilience and bravery that features Speaker Nancy Pelosi, DC Police Chief Robert J. Contee III, Congresswoman Liz Cheney, and over 50 Senators, Representatives, staffers from both sides of the aisle, and police officers as they reveal their first-hand experience of the attack. It is the only documentary for which the Capitol and Metropolitan Police Departments granted full access to their officers.

Christy Lemire FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) Excellent and necessary. Jan 18, 2023 Full Review Brandon Yu New York Times It all adds up to a frightening and necessary document of a deadly day, and also, as the camera continually swoops through a 3-D rendering of the Capitol to transition to a new scene of horror, a grave understanding that things could have gone far worse. Jan 5, 2023 Full Review Wade Major FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) I don't think we can or will get anything definitive for many years... This is a valuable contribution to a corpus that will continue to grow. Jan 18, 2023 Full Review Diego Batlle Otroscines.com Those seeking an auteur documentary will be frustrated, this is a "televised" account... [but] it's a valuable approach to the event in which far-right groups check-mated one of the most powerful democracies, shocking the world. [Full review in Spanish] Rated: 3/5 Jan 10, 2023 Full Review Michael Frank The Spool The unfurling of this memorable day in American history casts a long, dark shadow on far-right extremists, election deniers, and ex-President Donald Trump. Jan 8, 2023 Full Review Abe Friedtanzer AwardsWatch This documentary is insightful and educational, adding important commentary to an edited chain of video that really should but somehow doesn’t speak for itself. Matt H I thought it was a well-made documentary by the Naudet brothers about that day. I imagine it was challenging to get people to speak, but the interviews were mostly with Democrats or unpopular Republicans, making their perspectives somewhat predictable. It would have been more balanced to include more conservative voices and ask tougher questions of them. But I understand that the documentary was more about retelling the events of that day rather than deeply diving into the full political complexities surrounding it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/29/25 Full Review Paul T Complete propoganda. Recommend you watch the other side of the story! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/03/25 Full Review Robert U The same people that set this up, and had people arrested and are held in federal prison, just for being outside....made the this one sided documentary of cherry picked out of context lies that are going to be exposed eventually. Watch it now because before long it won't be available to view. Slander comes to mind. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 12/29/24 Full Review Benoit C Funny and clever, really enjoyed it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Dru P Absolute garbage, but definitely porn for the MAGA cult. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/26/24 Full Review James T January 6, 2021: a date which will live in infamy. This documentary sheds light on this super cereal, armless coup which was a bigger threat to democracy than Fort Sumter, Pearl Harbor, 9/11, and Comrade Harris' coronation combined.
