Audience Member Magical, atmospheric and funny. Rated 4.5/5 Stars •  Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member From Jan Jakub Kolski, responsible for an almost Spielbergian adaptation of Gombrowicz Pornografia, comes this oddity about fragrant monks and lost love. Kolski uses the same faded colour palette as in Pornografia, with added explosions of pastel, to create a dreamlike atmosphere. The narrative, told from a child's perspective, reads like a fairytale and lends the movie a heavy symbolic air, but ends up being far too convoluted for it's own good.
