Joe M Five stars if it was 1975, but we're 50 years later, and you know to this date, there are very few movies like this that could top it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/11/25 Full Review Helen R This movie is timeless. The unique way it’s filmed, use of extras from the location, Spielberg’s direction and pace make it one of the best films ever created. I have loved this movie from the first time I saw it at the age of 8 in 1978. My father saw it in the cinema when it was released and told me about it in such detail that when it had a rerun, he took me straight away. It has remained in my heart as a movie that takes me back to my childhood. What is so special though, is that after 50 years, it is still a stunning piece of cinema. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/07/25 Full Review Corey J I'm in love with this movie ever time I watch it. Every single scene has a purpose. Watch it again closely and you'll see how ever scene build the setting or situation. I can't find a single flaw in this the drama is intense. The decision to make a POV and music mostly replace the shark for the majority of the movie was a decision made because the prop malfunctioned but it made the movie even better. The characters and their dynamic and chemistry was incredible. It's a flawless movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/07/25 Full Review Raymond C One of the greatest movies ever made. It’s practically perfect Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/05/25 Full Review Alec B Jaws remains a wonder, despite its technical limitations, which helped shape a more suspenseful and grounded narrative. Spielberg’s decision—often out of necessity—to keep the mechanical shark largely off-screen results in a slow-build tension that pays off more effectively than constant visual exposure might have. The shark itself, when revealed, is a marvel of practical effects for its time. John Williams’s famous score is deceptively simple yet unforgettable, functioning as both atmosphere and narrative device. Combined with the performances and the richly textured setting of Amity Island, Jaws still captures a sense of place and threat without ever feeling forced. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/03/25 Full Review Derek B. Good, what I expected Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/10/25 Full Review Read all reviews
