J. R. Jones Chicago Reader The tag here is more silly than haunting, but this is still a pretty wild ride, with a fine, knife-wielding score by Bennett Salvay. Aug 2, 2022 Full Review Namrata Joshi Outlook Jeepers Creepers 2 is just plain silly. And comes to India a year too late. Rated: 1/4 Jan 7, 2019 Full Review Sheila Norman-Culp Associated Press Subtle as a brick, Jeepers Creepers 2 is what it is, and you either love it or hate it. Still, you have to admit that the Creeper (Jonathan Breck) is a fun villain. Nov 9, 2018 Full Review Mark H. Ferdinand S It’s been a while since I last watched Jeepers Creepers, but I’ve seen it a few times over the years. Watching it again recently, I have to say the acting really stood out—and not in a great way. The performances feel a bit rough, though that might just be because it’s an older movie and filmmaking styles have changed since then. That said, the movie still holds up okay after all this time. It has a creepy atmosphere and some memorable moments that remind me why it became a cult favorite. It’s definitely not as good as the first one, but it’s still worth a rewatch if you’re into classic early 2000s horror. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 10/26/25 Full Review Rowan C Jeepers Creepers 2 gave me the same vibes as the first one, and I think that they are pretty much equal in ratings. The events of this film take place a few days after the first film. It all starts out on day 22 with a family, who were just going about their day to day lives. Their names are Jack Taggart Sr. (Ray Wise), Jack Taggart Jr. (Luke Edwards) and Billy Taggart. Bill was in charge of checking all the scarecrows, because they were attracting crows and not turning them away. Jack Jr. was working on the car and Jack Sr. was doing other work. Billy was in the middle of his work, and he noticed that one of the scarecrows quickly turned his head towards him. Bill investigates this, and this is when The Creeper attacks. The other two heard this, and tried to help by chasing The Creeper down the field. The Creeper ended up flying away with Billy, which put both Jack’s on a vengeance mission to avenge Billy. The movie cuts to day 23 and we see a school bus full of basketball players, who just won the state championship. Their bus suddenly breaks down and this is when the faculty go to investigate. The faculty included Dwayne Barnes (Tom Tarantini), Betty Forman (Diane Delano) and Charlie Hanna (Thom Gossom Jr.) Betty Forman, who is the Bus Driver, noticed a very sharp item that got stuck into the wheel. They tried to call for help but no one was answering, so they decided to drive very slow on the road. The main people on the bus were Scott Braddock (Eric Nenninger), Minxie Hayes (Nicki Aycox), Deaundre Davis (Garikayi Mutambirwa), Izzy Bohen (Travis Schiffner), Andy Buck (Billy Aaron Brown), Rhonda Truitt (Marieh Delfino), Dante Belasco (Al Santos), Jonny Young (Drew Tyler Bell), Chelsea Farmer (Lena Cardwell), Jake Spencer (Josh Hammond) and Kimball Ward (Kasan Butcher). Minxie is a psychic, so she was having a dream on the bus where she could see Derry and Billy telling her to go back. She also saw The Creeper throw something right at the bus. This is when the whole tire blew out and everyone exited the bus. They all got out flares, and this is when The Creeper started making his move. He captured and most likely killed Charlie Hanna, who was the coach of the basketball team. Charlie was putting flares in the middle of the road when he was captured, and Betty Forman was captured soon after. Everyone realized that something was wrong, and they actually saw The Creeper when he took Dwayne Barnes. Minxie soon passed out and had a dream, where Derry told her all of the information about The Creeper. The students all saw The Creeper and he slowly picked out all of his future victims. He picked out Dante, Jake, Minxie, Scotty, Andy and Deaundre. The Creeper tried to get in the bus many times, but he never could and they did a good job of keeping him out. Andy was trying multiple times to get someone on the radio, and he was finally able to reach Jack Sr. In the bus, Rhonda stabbed The Creeper through the head and he immediately flew away. He soon crashed and landed back down on the bus and it seemed like he was dead. The plan was to get off the bus, but one of The Creepers wings wrapped around Dante’s head. This ended up decapitating him and that was the first kill that had to do with the basketball players. They all soon get out of the bus, and this is when they start running for their lives. The Creeper eats his head, and his head is fully repaired. A lot of people were killed during this sequence, and even Scotty was killed during this chase scene. Jake was also impaled in the head by one of The Creeper's sharp ninja stars. Jack Sr. and Jack Jr. soon arrive on the scene and they have this homemade harpoon gun that they use to impale The Creeper twice. The Creeper eventually won that battle and flipped the entire car over. Deaundre, Rhonda and Izzy all find a car that they saw on the road earlier. It was abandoned and they actually got it to start. The Creeper was watching them and he was going right after Deaundre, because he also sniffed him out earlier. Deaundre was in the trunk, so Izzy kicked Rhonda out. Izzy told Deaundre to duck, and Izzy immediately slammed on the breaks. This caused The Creeper to go flying through the windshield, but Deandure survived being thrown out of the car. The Creeper was so badly injured, and he even tried to kill Deandre. He needed Deandre's parts, but the Taggart family arrived and impaled The Creeper right in the head. Jack Sr. repeatedly stabbed The Creeper, to make sure he was dead. The Creeper ran out of time and his face was covered by his clawed hood with wings. The scene ends here and it fast forwards 23 years to a few teenagers paying to check out a “bat from hell”. Ever since that day, Jack Sr. has been watching The Creeper to make sure that he never escapes again. Jeepers Creepers 2 ends with a close up on The Creepers face, and this is when the credits roll. Overall, Jeepers Creepers 2 gave me the same vibe as the first one and both get the same score from me. The acting was you know average but in the movies like this the sequel usually is not quite as good as the first one but I think this one is still worth the watch and I don't think you will be disappointed in Jeepers Creepers 2.
