      John R Garlin is very much at ease on the stage yet mostly stands on the floor with the audience, also quite comfortable. He recounts surreal moments in his early and recent past with alacrity and solid timing. It's fun to hear him giggle. I find his interaction with the audience to be the funniest bits of the special. Lately the quality of most stand up specials in particular and movies in general can be best determined by observing the discrepancy between the 'critic consensus' and audience score. Despite the fact that I am apparently writing this before any critics have reviewed it, I have a strong feeling there will be a conspicuous lack of disagreement on the lack of quality comedy within this special. Admittedly I am no Chicagoan, but the title seems awfully conceded but maybe I'm just unaware of his immense popularity when not aside a comedian.
