Mike P Interesting little ripoff of Carrie, about a SNAKE CHARMER of all things. Jennifer Baylor is a simple small town girl from West Virginia who moves to upscale California; on a scholarship; to a prestigious magnate school there. Greenview... But the snooty students there won't let her forget her backwoods roots; and soon they're terrorizing her; just like they did to poor Carrie White in Carrie! But little do they know that Jennifer can command and control all snakes...She's actually a SNAKE GODDESS, as a matter of fact!! Even of 8 foot anacondas that leap out of nowhere to attack; with no warning! And what's interesting about this movie is the director, longtime Disney collaborator Brice Mack; just doesn't copy Depalma's story; he also copies his lurid, impressionistic STYLE as well; and that makes it kind of fun! There's also good acting. So this is not a great movie, but an interesting curio; from that pre-slasher era.
