The chemistry between Katherine Heigl and Alexis Bledel is nonexistent. The message of this movie is one of the few lesbian tropes but very poorly executed. Katherine Heigl is one of my favorite actresses. I think those who gave it a bad review are wrong. See more 02/19/2021 Was this movie written by an 11 year old lesbian or a 50 year old straight man? As a member of the community, I found the whole thing cringeworthy and insulting. It's as though someone wrote a list of what they thought were probably gay issues and how they imagined people would react to someone coming out without any real knowledge. The whole thing is full of clichés, the highlight of which being the main protagonists father asking which role she plays in the bedroom, followed by Katherine heigl yelling "kitty! My father wants to know which one of us straps on in the bedroom" at a funeral. Jesús flipping Christ.
