Serena Donadoni Village Voice This brash regurgitator of American pop culture comes off as a singular artist, an irrepressible SpongeBob with a steel spine. Sep 25, 2015 Full Review Frank Scheck The Hollywood Reporter It doesn't delve too deeply into its subject's psyche or provide much context for his work, but fashionistas are likely to be entertained. Sep 21, 2015 Full Review Adam Tschorn Los Angeles Times If you've never heard of the L.A.-based fashion designer, Adidas collaborator and enthusiastic appropriator of pop culture, then Vlad Yudin's documentary "Jeremy Scott: The People's Designer" offers a good thumbnail sketch. Sep 17, 2015 Full Review Tricia Olszewski Washington City Paper We get to see what sets off wild applause and nauseatingly insincere-seeming smooching: a wardrobe inspired by... McDonald's. Steve G This was a great film and learned alot about Jeremy Scott. He's a pioneer and Vlad Yudin's film was very well done. Love his films on Ronnie Coleman The King and Generation Iron Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/02/24 Full Review Audience Member Lol! WTF! This is why I hated art school. Self important douche bags doing mediocre shit stealing stuff. He talks about snootyness while telling models yes or no with a finger wave when they all look the same. Im ready to bitch slap this style thief. Offensive on every level. Fun to watch when you want to punch a self important shithead. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review martin f A vanity project that actually made me don't like Jeremy Scott (I kind of liked his fun creation before)... The documentary shows that he actually doesn't have much thing to tell and if I appreciate that they let critics speak their truth about Scott's fashion designs I left the documentary just remembering that they didn't like what he's currently doing and that he lost his touch. That said, the worst thing about this documentary are the celebrity cameos. They are just there saying about how he is the savior of fashion, how his vision is important and they all sound fake... maybe they are honest but the cumulation of this kind of compliments just seems forced at the end. The last scene is Katy Perry saying that her and Jeremy are the rebels of fashion... which makes me roll my eyes so hard. I don't have a big knowledge in fashion but even I, I know it's the last thing they should use to describe themselves. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A fascinating insight into the world of Scott and his transition to head of creative for Moschino, he comes across well and there is many a cameo to spot in this Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
