Audience Member Whether you are religious or not, this film shows the life of three women in the Old City of Jerusalem. One Christian, One Jewish and One Muslim. Visually stunning, with so much information and visuals of the Old City's history both above ground and underneath. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic look at the history and culture of the people of this city, I hope they do a sequel and continue the journey Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Very good film and documentary with the photography really capturing that special feeling of the city Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member I have an extra ticket for tonight. Let me know if you want to join me. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful, condensed & vivid. Ella Taylor Variety Magnificently scenic but fatally bland ... Mar 21, 2015 Full Review Radheyan Simonpillai NOW Toronto The film effectively answers why this one place, not even a square kilometre in size, is such prime religious real estate, but it barely gestures toward the blood that has been paid for it. Rated: 3/5 Mar 11, 2014 Full Review Linda Barnard Toronto Star You can all but feel the heat of blazing candles in the Orthodox pre-Easter ritual of the Holy Fire in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the most impressive scene in a dazzling film. Rated: 3/4 Mar 6, 2014 Full Review Henry Fitzherbert Daily Express (UK) Benedict Cumberbatch narrates with effortless authority but it's the personal stories of three attractive young women, present day inhabitants representing the three faiths, which make this a moving and vital production. Rated: 5/5 Jan 16, 2014 Full Review Linda Cook Quad City Times (Davenport, IA) You don't just go to Jerusalem. You experience Jerusalem. Those are the words of the director of this phenomenal documentary. Rated: 4/4 Nov 13, 2013 Full Review Jay Stone Canada.com The film unearths some of this history as well, even if at times it feels like a quick course in comparative religion. Its message is familiar -- let's all try to get along -- but the views are remarkable. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 27, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews
