Kate M Jesse Stone is the best tv series I have ever watched in terms of production values, casting, cinematography, etc.- such a joy to watch. The first show I have seen where there is such respect given for the relationship between a character and his dog. Without being at all cutsey or anthropomorphic, the dog has a “ conversational” role in these movies of a man struggling to live a purposeful life. Even the beauty of the seascape location is treated as a character worthy of respect. The cinematic nature of the storyline is absolutely lovely. Plus this is a thinking person’s action movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/17/24 Full Review Jake D Excellent production for a made for television movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/24 Full Review John Z In this, and the rest of the Jesse Stone series, Tom Selleck does a very creditable acting job as the alcoholic chief sheriff of the town, Paradise. The supporting cast is excellent, and the plot twists and turns continually interest the viewer. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/06/23 Full Review steve d Unfortunately the end of the road but still a lot of fun. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Just love this series. This latest film (2015) was exceptionally poignant. My only criticism would be that it wasn't necessary to bring back so many characters from past movies in the series if they had no real relevance to this one.I saw there is another Jesse Stone film in production, as yet untitled. Can't wait. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review don s There is comfort in routine. This is a routine Jesse Stone movie. Stone talking to his shrink. Stone talking to Suitcase. Stone taking an interest in a young girl in trouble. Stone investigating a cold case. Nothing new here. Nothing to shake up the series or wake you up. Love Selleck in the role, Too much emphasis on using first names - more than the other movies. It's like a pair of old shoes, still fits nice but once you put them on, your don't think about them again until you take them off. This is not good for a movie - every now and then you need a rock in your shoe to stir things up. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews
