Bollywood really cannot make a decent heist movie and it still refuses to give up. Jewel Thief, with its unoriginal title, was nothing but an attempt again. Jaideep Ahlawat and Saif Ali Khan are better actors and both seem to like to experiment. But I hope before they do so, they also read the script with more scrutiny.

I found it really good, it was nice to see Saif Ali Khan back on screen. Sure it has some flaws but it’s a re-watchable movie, not like what has been recently coming out from Bollywood.

"Jewel Thief: The Heist Begins" is a 2025 international film that premiered on Netflix, centering around a daring jewel heist and a group of individuals determined to overcome various obstacles to achieve their goals. While I commend the director for their efforts in bringing this foreign film to life, I found the overall execution lacking in depth and engagement. The plot felt somewhat sluggish and disjointed at times, failing to captivate my attention as I had hoped. It's not that the film is poor—far from it. However, it didn’t evoke enough interest for me to want to invest further in it. Instead, it seemed to exist merely as a placeholder rather than delivering a compelling, immersive story that could hold my interest. There were moments where I found myself drifting off, but overall, it was passable for what it was at that time.
