Shubhra Gupta The Indian Express Abbas Tyrewala returns with a rom-com which has likeable, lively characters. But the trouble with Jhootha Hi Sahi is that it has a lame plot and that the supporting cast has more heft than the lead players. Rated: 2/5 Apr 8, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Heartwarming, sensible, great movie, great cast, worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member I thought this was a good one. A comedy movie in which I actually found some of the humor to be funny. Overall the message was a good one and the movie kept me entertained...should watch it!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member The story is predictable and doesn't offer anything groundbreaking. The treatment, however, is very much reminiscent of the 80s and 90s in Hollywood when romantic comedies were sweet and genuinely funny, all with a running theme of loneliness in the modern world. Mishka certainly seems like the Indian equivalent of a Meg Ryan character. The romance between her and Siddharth is slow burn and gentle, without any of the trappings of cynicism, and that's quite a rarity in the genre these days. It helped that John played a convincing lovable dork (who woulda thought?) and Pakhi was extremely impressive in her debut. The movie also had several hilarious moments. Abbas' strength is in writing the bonds and interactions in a group of friends. Like his debut movie, the friends were all real people with their own quirky personalities rather than passive hanger-ons. Much of the humor in the film worked because of how believable it felt to watch them bicker and banter amongst themselves. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Honestly it is not that bad a flick (as i expected maybe) Some scenes are really LOL funny and the group of quirky friends actually make it a worthwhile watch! Has similarities with Tyrewala's previous flick Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na as well as Notting Hill ...! Songs: forgettable or forwardable Story: very little Overall - decent timepass flick ... bollywood has done worse Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Nice feel good movie Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member was pretty surprised with the movie. dunno y it didnt get good reviews. this was a really good romantic comedy.. really liked the story and acting by john and omae khan was really good. a well made movie Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
