Dave Calhoun Time Out Rated: 3/5 Jan 22, 2013 Full Review Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic It's not the best movie you'll ever see, but as movies about Irish dance competitions go, well, it's pretty high on that list. Rated: 3.5/5 Aug 4, 2011 Full Review Adam Markovitz Entertainment Weekly Uncovers the sweat and toil behind all the sparkly outfits and clickety-clack footwork. Rated: B Jun 22, 2011 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com Jig truly captures the diversity of the world of Irish Dancing. Audience Member The curls! The sequins! I wish this film focused on the history and the recent trend of making the young girls up so they look like beauty pageant contestants. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member I really want my kids to do this. Why didn't I get to do this?! Those ballet classes sucked! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it. What a great movie! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting, though altogether uncompelling, look at Irish dancing that was popularised by the 'Riverdance' phenomenon. Assorted characters offer differing angles to this particular story, showcasing the art's wide-ranging appeal, so there's at least one or two people to barrack for. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member The dancing was nice to watch and all, but there were way too many characters. I would have rather seen them dig deep into the reasons that these kids love Irish dance. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member If you're a fan of Irish dance or just interested this is a must see. A good story line and introduction into this growing competitive phenomena. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
