I enjoy his comedy. He's certainly witty and I think a good person. He is also pretty clean for a comedian. Saw on Hulu.

Some think his genius ends with the ho-hum, if hooky, Joe Six-Pack humor of his Hot Pockets bit. God, no. Jim, at his best, is, the very best in stand-up. In fact, I've got my whole family hooked. This one's fine, but dims next to "Beyond the Pale" and "Mr. Universe." When he's really "on," like Carlin, he's a master of observational, confessional and plain nutty comedy. His forte, of course, is his talent, like Jonathan Winters, in employing dozens of wacky characters in his act. (To be avoided, though: his recent "The Pale Tourist.")

Where is the media analysis of this xenophobic and homophobic nonsense? There's about five minutes "devoted" to his wife's medical condition and it feels very tacked on. Most of the jokes are formulaic and it feels like the laughter is canned. It doesn't feel like a live performance and the special ends abruptly. The xenophobic stuff is pretty predictable. The homophobic material was really curious. I guest what the media calls "clean" is a 1950s definition not a modern inclusive definition. All in all, it was just boring.
