matthias s @Thescreenasvor May 6 *Jimmy Carr: Natural Born Killer* starts off like a cheap shot factory—plenty of crude, not enough clever. If you’ve seen Carr before, you know he walks the line, but here he seems more interested in toeing it just to poke the bear, not make us laugh. Most punchlines land with a shrug, not a cackle. That said, the second half redeems it—vintage Jimmy. The bits on consent and proposals? Pure comedy gold. It’s like he finally showed up to his own show. Not his best, not his worst—just enough to remind us why we’re still watching. Three stars, with hope intact. He's a pro, but the ideas of a lot of his jokes are familiar. He is easier to take in smaller doses when he appears on various shows. An hour straight it wears thin.
