Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius tells the simple story of a 10-year-old boy and his robot dog - battling evil, rescuing his parents, saving the Earth - and returning home in time for dinner. Jimmy's always inventing gadgets to make his life in Retroville more interesting. A boy genius with real kid emotions, Jimmy sometimes fantasizes about life on his own. But when the parents of Jimmy's hometown are kidnapped by invading aliens, he quickly discovers that things aren't so great when they're gone.

Like a rollicking adventure from the fevered boyhood imagination of Calvin from Calvin and Hobbes: the gooey aliens, the boy-genius gadgetry. Except with Jimmy it's real.

For all their rambunctious energy and rebellion, these kids are innocents out of a 1950s sitcom and the film steers clear of the adult in-jokes and bodily function humor that litters so many recent family films.

Movie was released a year before the show came out. (24YEARSAGO)2001 This film feels very nostalgic and still stands the test of time when it comes to laughter. It helps when you have voice actors like MARTIN SHORT & PATRICK STEWART to bring life into an animated film!
