"Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" tells the simple story of a 10-year-old boy and his robot dog - battling evil, rescuing his parents, saving the Earth - and returning home in time for dinner. Jimmy's always inventing gadgets to make his life in Retroville more interesting. A boy genius with real kid emotions, Jimmy sometimes fantasizes about life on his own. But when the parents of Jimmy's hometown are kidnapped by invading aliens, he quickly discovers that things aren't so great when they're gone.

For all their rambunctious energy and rebellion, these kids are innocents out of a 1950s sitcom and the film steers clear of the adult in-jokes and bodily function humor that litters so many recent family films.

The first time I watched this movie I was 6 years old and it was being playing on Nickelodeon here in Chile, Jimmy Neutron is very good, nice, excellent movie, no wonder I remember the first time I watched the movie just like yesterday, but that happened in July 2017, now it's Oct 25, 2024. When the series was on Nickelodeon, I was never a fan. I didn't appreciate the animation. I'm old school. Anyway, I bought the Nickelodeon 6 movie collection recently and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius was one of the movies included. So I popped it in the ol' dvd player and needless to say I REALLY enjoyed it! It took me back to a more innocent time. It's got a great plot, lots of laughs, and a really adventurous story. I recommend this one to anyone, old or young!
