An Aussie TV movie about the Falconio disappearance in the Outback. Not a bad effort for a movie-long re-enactment of what had apparently happened, not sure if it's entirely accurate. Pretty good performances about the scary ordeal and the following court cases that followed, which ended up finding Murdoch guilty. Whether they got the right man or not I didn't think it was possible to convict someone of murder without a body to prove it.

Murder in the Outback was an interesting movie based on true events. An overall good job of developing the storyline and great acting abilities by all the cast. This film helped me understand more in-depth about the Peter Falconio murder and what Joanne Lees must have gone through. Memorable film and it will leave you with things to think about.

Joanne Frogatt plays Joanne Lees, the girlfriend of Peter Falconio, the missing English backpacker, assumed murdered by a stranger while on a camping holiday in the Australian outback.
