Audience Member Superb film. Don’t be fooled by its age - this stands the test of time because it’s so well written and acted. Very ‘Shakespearean’ in its emotional complexity, you should watch this…. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/26/24 Full Review rhinohouse One of Glenn Ford's best, and he's done some fine stuff. Rod Steiger makes one of the all-time despicable villains in this one. And Charles Bronson makes a sympathetic sidekick on the right side. And there is some excellent horsemanship. I enjoyed it and found the tense drama mixed with action and actor chemistry very absorbing. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/19/23 Full Review Audience Member Outstanding one of the best westerns I’ve ever seen Glenn Ford, Ernest Borgnine, Valerie French Rod Steiger all did an outstanding job. Yes, I highly recommend it, James Welch, Henderson, Arkansas, August 4, 2023. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review ogn d Is this one of those whatcha call it adult Westerns? Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review kevin w A tiny melodrama played out beneath the towering Grand Tetons, Ford plays a wandering cowpoke taken in by warmhearted ranch owner Borgnine and is prospering except for the attentions of unhappy housewife French. On the sidelines is villain Steiger, only a little overdone, whispering treacheries. It's a competent Western, though held aloft almost entirely by the depth's portrayed by Borgnine's heroic big numbskull. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
